This DenizBank A.Ş. (Bank) Data Privacy Notice on Customers and Visitors (‘Privacy Notice’) has been prepared in accordance with the Law on Protection of Personal Data (LPPD) numbered 6698 in order to inform you on your personal data which we process within the scope of physical space security processes during your visits to the Head Office, branches,additional service units and its ATMs of our Bank, the methods of collecting your personal data, legal basis and purpose of processing your personal data, persons/institutions where your personal data are transferred to, purposes of transfer and your rights.

2.Methods of Obtaining Your Personal Data

Your personal data in the physical space security data category during your visit to our Head Office, branches and ATMs are collected via automatic methods through security cameras whereas your personal data in the identity data category are collected via non-automatic methods for the purpose of controlling the entries and exits.

3.Legal Causes and Purposes as to Why We Process Your Personal Data

on the condition of not damaging the basic rights and freedoms of the data subject as per the article 5/2 (f) of LPDD, it is obligatory to process data for the interests of the data controller.

Physical Space Security For the purposes of fulfilling our legal obligations concerning the Regulation on the Information Systems and Electronic Banking Services of Banks and other legislations we are subject, meeting the official demands, eliminating the related lack of reconciliation, preventing cases such as fraud etc and ensuring security

being clearly stipulated in laws pursuant to the article 5/2 of LPDD

Pursuant to the article 5/2 (ç) of LPDD, it is necessary for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligation

on the condition of not damaging the basic rights and freedoms of the data subject as per the article 5/2 (f) of LPDD, it is obligatory to process data for the interests of the data controller.

Your personal data may be shared with the legally authorized institutions and organizations for the purposes of fulfilling our legal liabilities and establishing, exercising and protecting our rights in case of conflict.

4.Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data as per the article 11 of LPDD:

  • Finding out if your personal data has been processed or not,
  • If your personal data has been processed, requesting information on it,
  • Finding out about the purpose of your personal data being processed and if they are used in line with the purpose,
  • Finding out about the third parties to which your personal data is transferred in and outside of the country,
  • In case your personal data is processed incompletely or inaccurately, asking for correction and requesting that the third parties to which your personal data is transferred be notified of the transaction realized within this scope.
  • If the reasons requiring the processing are removed even though your data is processed in line with the Law no. 6698 and the other provisions of the law, requesting the deletion or destruction of your personal data and requesting the notification of the third parties to which your personal data is transferred.
  • If you believe that a result against you has emerged, objecting to this result provided that your data being processed is analyzed exclusively via automatic systems,
  • In case you suffer a loss due to illegal processing of your personal data, requesting the elimination of your loss.

You can submit your application within the scope of your rights regarding your personal data;

  • By verifying your identity card through a written petition to our branches or to DenizBank A.Ş. Head Office at Büyükdere Cad. No: 141 Esentepe 34394 Şişli / İSTANBUL or via notary.
  • You can submit it via secure electronic signature or electronic mail with a mobile signature to denizbank.haberlesme@hs09.kep.tr address by using your registered email (KEP) address.
  • By using your e-mail address that you have previously reported to our bank and registered in our system, you can submit it to oncemusteri@denizbank.com via email.
  • You can submit it by filling out the form that appears after selecting the subheadings “Notification Type: Complaint- Subject: Retail Banking- Subheading: Personal Data Protection Law Complaint Notifications”; on https://www.denizbank.com/iletisim/musteri-memnuniyeti-formu

Your request shall be finalized as soon as possible and within thirty (30) days at the latest, free of charge. If transactions pertaining to your request entail a separate cost, a fee may be charged from you as per the tariff stated by the Personal Data Protection Board.
